Expert: Russia’s e-commerce market to triple in 3–5 years
SVETLOGORSK, Kaliningrad Region, Aug 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s e-commerce market will triple in the next three to five years, Russian Online Retail Association (AKIT) President Artyom Sokolov said on Friday.
Russians make 12 million orders on the Internet per 24 hours, and the volume will increase, Sokolov said.
The e-commerce market widened by 43% on the year to 2.3 trillion rubles in January–June, according to AKIT’s calculations.
Sokolov said earlier that if the trend maintains, the volume will hit the historic high in 2022 with 4.6 trillion rubles.
